Question about an old Shakespeare

I bought this bow off the classifieds from a fellow tradgander a while back and just now getting around to shooting it. Its 66" long recurve, white glass front and back heavy riser its marked Supreme Model X16. The condition looks like it just came from the factory, doesn't show hardly any use. The question is, anyone know when they were made. Couldn't find much on the net........stabow

The great bowyer Ernie Root was Shakespeare's leading man when they made bows in the 60's and 70's.  They are all good bows and perform very well.  These bows tend to be "sleepers" and can usually be picked up at reasonable prices.  

My X-26 Super Necedah in zebrawood is one of my favorites, but sorry I don't know the details about the X-16.

According to my shakespeare cataloges the X16 was the third grade tournement bow. The X10 was the top, the x15 then the x16. Listed 75.00 in the 1967 cataloge. The wood was benge that year.
