What size vanes are you using? I will be using NO Mercy Zwickey 165gr and alum. arrows. Any brand preference over another?

RedShaft

Blazers, AAE Fusion, NAP Quickspins.  They all work just fine.

I shoot 3" vanes on 31" carbons off an elevated rest...PR

You will have to shoot of an elevated rest. If the setup is tuned to your bow, you should get good results with 4" or 5" vanes. I use/have used 4" in my trad bows with great results.
