I have not shot at cement with mine, but I have found the same type of results from mistaking moss covered granite for an old stump.  All my stumoing arrows are footed now.  The amount of energy transfered to the cement block dramatically increased with the footed arrow I also noted.  Don't know if it might be good to foot all arrows to increase penetration on bone hits.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Yononindo, the maker of that film and a member here, posted it a few days ago.

I'm a pretty slow thinker, so this idea has probably been hashed out already, but what about "footing" on the inside". I have one footed arrow and don't like the way the footing increases the distance to center cut. Would it be feasible to epoxy an inner shaft back just far enough to allow an insert to butt up against it?

Bladepeek,

A search on internal footings will provide some discussion of internal footings and the advantages and problems with doing it that way.  Dr. Ashby provides some interesting info on the subject in one of the posts.

Last Arrow, thanks for the help. Gotta quit being so lazy and use the search engine more. There is just a wealth of info on this site.

Looks like that internal footing idea is fraught with complications. Maybe I'll leave my arrows full length and shorten the footing just a bit so I don't draw it onto the shelf.

By the way, being from West Olive, do you happen to know David VandenBrand the stockmaker?
