Stiff Carbon arras?

Some guys (ie: Paul Schafer) would use a combination of aluminum arrows with one fitting inside the other to accomodate the heavy draw weights.  Don't know if something like that would work for the spine and gpi you're shooting for, but thought I'd throw it out there.
