Yes, it was warm early, but then we had a week of intermittant or steady cold rain in the middle.
Learn, practice and pass on "leave no trace" ethics, no matter where you hunt.

Went on my first last fall. Camped out for a week  in the Routt Nat'l Forest. Camped at a trail head and went in to hunt daily, no game was taken but a great time was had. Beautiful country and real learning experience. Spent just over $900 total. I went with Cyclic Rivers from this site. We split the gas and food. He got a OTC tag for either sex and I got a cow tag. Cow tag was almost $200 cheaper. Was great time and I would go again. I hope you have a great hunt!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I agree with Wacko_One. Make sure your hunting partners can handle a 10 day hunt under adverse conditions. I was supurised by some of my hunting buddies reaction to such conditions. I believe that mental preparation is just as important as the physical. Enjoy the Rockies!
