Am ordering a new bow and was curious if anyone has shot a double carbon side by side the triple carbon.  Any noticable differences?

No, i couldnt tell any difference in actual shooting.  Give Jim a call and he can fill you  in on the advantage of the XTL core lamination.

the only difference that I found was that the xtl laminate makes for a much quieter bow

COMBER

If you've got the extra $75 make sure you get the triple carbon. If you're patient you can wait a couple days and put an order in for the same bow Jim is building me right now. I will give you a hint it's a triple carbon and shoots like no other Centaur to date. I've only ever heard one thing about Jim's bows that they could get use to and the bow I'll soon be getting from him takes care of that issue.
Thanks,

Jake, you need to offer more details.  I'm pretty sure you have violated a rule here by only throwing out a tease.    :D

The only difference between the two is the triple has the XTL lamination. If you buy the carbon Elite and add the XTL it will become the triple carbon. I believe it's worth the money. I have the XTL on my bow. Suppose to prevent torquing on the bow. Talk to Jim. He will explain better.

Jim explained to me that it adds torsional stability.  If you grab the limb and try to twist it, it won't twist.  So the limb becomes even more stable beyond what is accomplished with regualar carbon laminations.

TURKEYFOOTGIRL

Thanks guys,  I did talk to him about it and was just curious what some of you had to say.

Chris, if you're stopping by Jim's make sure you shoot a bunch of arrows out of it. I will guarantee you buy one.

I agree that it seems to be quieter but I can't tell the difference otherwise.
