Got up at dark ,getting my stuff together. Then the little girl goes where ya going today.? Told where I was going . Just about got every thing in the truck and the little girl goes I want to go. . She got her way. We finaly leave at 9:30. She had to get ready Thinking If she's going Im taking a rifle. Get the 243 and she says I want to see you get something with your bow leave the rifle at home . Half hour later we leave with no guns. Im thinking Im not going to get a shot at a dead rock today. First stand I tell her to sit buy this almond tree and look that way ect. She looks at me with that look like you got to be kidding.I go and set out the decoy.Walk back and she's sweeping the dirt clean then starts looking over the tree trunk. What are you doing? She says looking for bugs. Called in two on that stand but they hung up out about 150 yards. Look twords her to see if she saw them and she goes arn't they supposed to come in closer. Made two more stands no takers. Took her to get some lunch ten miles away.Played with the ground squirrels for awile. They was safe today. Made four more stands . On the second to last stand Im looking to my left and I see her pointing Turn around and see this.

Tried lipsqeeking and my squirrel call but they just stayed out there at 100 yards goofing around . They knew we was there .We watched them for a good five minutes before they walked off. Heres a picture she took. She wanted me to post it.

The little girl is 55 years old and Ive been married to her for 33 years. No dead yotes but still was fun.She did say that she needed to start shooting one of my lighter bows the ground squirrels looked like fun.

Tim my wife used to hunt with me some but iIt's been years ago.. I ask her from time to time if she'd like to go again but so far no takers.  She used too enjoy going, maybe again some day.

Enjoy!
