well, i met mrs santa coming in the door, and it looks like i got a recurve for christmas.

just wondering if anyone has ever shot one.  i have the mountianeer 60" 50#.  with takedown laminate limbs.

also one of the limbs has a crack in the wood part about center of the limb.  will that cause a limb to de-laminate??  the laminate is not cracked, and i have not taken the limb off to see if it goes all the way to the bolt hole.

Cracks are not good in any part of a bow. I would not string that bow until someone who knows what their doing examines it.

Better off returning it.

place she bought it from called them, and they are sending a new set of limbs.  since the crack was in the center of the wedge, they said it would be ok to shoot.  hopefully i'll have a new set of limbs by next friday.  it seems to be a pretty decent shooting bow.

Bought my son one about a year ago, 25lbs.
Had to send it back beause of a crack in the handle.

Was given an OMP longbow with a totally delaminated riser. Will try to fix it when I get time. Seem to be real questionable quality import.
We are all here because we are not all there.

update

OMP sent a new bow -- but only after they got the other one back.  the second bow had a crack in the same place too.  it was a different bow cause i marked the first one before sending it back.  so, the second one was sent back and now i have a 3rd one with no cracks.

i did not have to ship them back, the dealer sent them back.

OMP did replace the bad bows, but i will not buy another.  I feel they should have inspected the second one before shipping it.  And having to be without a bow and waiting 3+ months till i had one with no cracks--was ridiculous.
