I lucked into this bow and it has a "home made" endless loop string on it. The brace is at 9.5 inches to the deepest part of the handle.  It seems high to me.  Not many twists in the string, so not much leeway in lowering. Does anyone know the recommended range for this bow???

I have a 1983 T/D model and I have it set at 8 1/4". My buddy did a lot of trading in old Bears for a while and that's what he told me to start at and has shot great but somewhere close to that area is where it should be. Not sure, but where yours is at does sound high. Someone should come by pretty quick who would know for certain. Hope this helps!

Sorry total should be somewhere around 7 3/4" to 8 1/2".
