How would 1916s work with a 50lb. longbow?I have a 26in. draw.
HH Cheetah 66in. 48lb at 25in.
HH HalfBreed 66in. 57lb. at 27in.
HH Wesley Special  56lb. at 26in..
HH Big 5          64lb. at 28in.
HH Wesley Special 55lb. at 28in.
HH Redman         60lb. at 28in.

I shot 2016's with a 145 grain point and 26" draw out of my Sky Trophy (55 @ 28)and 21st Century Constellation.  I cut them to 27 or 28 inches, so I think 1916 would work fine, just play with point weight.

If you are getting 50# at your 26 in draw, I think you will find the 1916's will be weak spined. 2016's should work better...play with field tip weights to zero in that spined arrow to your bow.

Hermon

If your bow is 50# @ 28" and you draw 26", they should be just fine IMO.

The Whittler

If you can get a couple give them a try, they may surprise you.

They should work just fine. When I shot aluminum, I used them from a variety of bows in that weight range.

Jason Kendall

I used 1916's with 125gr tips from 45-51# bows at my 28" draw and they fly great.

Red Beastmaster

I use 1916 with my 47# @ 27" longbow, 125gr points.

Yes sir they will be fine, just keep the point weight down under 160 grains. My nephew has been shooting them and the only fault is they are not very durable stump shooting.Just my two cents.

Getting some legacys ,Would they make a good hunting arrow?

I shot through both shoulder blades with a legacy 1916 and grizzly bh out of a 45lb recurve. So yes, they are fine for deer
Is it too late to be what I could have been?
