Funny, I've got 13 bows and two high dollar chronographs.  Chronographs are set up and run at least 2 twice a month - often a lot more than that. Yet, I've never run an arrow over one.  At 20 yds and under, just never worried about it.  Never had a deer complain either.

I have taken a rather large, sow hog, of the 350# class. Arrow was 585g at 147fps. She went 15yds and called it quits.

Until someone builds a bow that shoots at least 1126 FPS how quiet your bow is will matter.

Especially deer in Texas Rob that are use to feeding under feeders. A 20 yard shot will require you to purposely shoot at the bottom of the brisket to get a mid chest hit.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

drewsbow

well mine only shoots 140 fps but it sure kills just the same , oohh and its quiet with a heavy arrow
Try to be the person your dog thinks you are :0)
