Does anyone know the proper brace height for Bear Kodiak magnum bow made between 1965 and 70? In the earlier Bear Catalog, the recommended brace height for the 1961 is 7 1/4 inches. In 1962 - 1964 the catalogs recommended brace height is "between 7 and 8 inches".

I am shooting a 1967 with a brace height of 8 1/2 inches using a 48 inch string for AMO 52 bow. Should I go with a longer string to get between 7 and 8 inches? The bow shoots well and the arrows fly straight as is but wondering if lower brace height would make bow smoother? Thanks for your input. Dave

I twelve k mags,I just went and looked, at brace height on all of them.mine are at 8" to 8 1/4" and have one at 8 1/2". if its shooting good I wouldn't worry about it.you will be fine.

BB, Thanks for the info.  Mine does shoot well but I was wondering if a 7 1/2 to 8" height would make it a bit smoother and quieter, but it is not bad now so maybe leave good enough alone?

Right on 8" on every one I've ever owned.
