Anyone have any pics of timber rattler skinned bows?  We have them around our neck of the woods and they seem to have a different type of marking, plus they have seem to have a pinkish hue with brown ish diagonal bars, not really diamonds like a western diamond back.  Anyway, I always thought they would dress up a bow nicely, so any pics out there?

Check out Morrison's site. Also Crow Creek. There's a Morrison Cheyenne on the Trad Bow classifieds with Timber skins, I think.

Timber rattlers or canebrake rattlers have bands across the back instead of diamonds or spots. They are my favorite! My sinew backed Osage bow I named "Two tone" has one skin that is grayish and one that is more tan. I'll see if I can find a pic of mine.

I backed this one with one snake.  Just split the skin down the center.

Here's some Timber's over Hickory that I finished a couple months ago.  Finished with many coats of Tru-oil.

Blessed be the Lord my strength; which teacheth my hands to war and my fingers to fight.
