Hey folks..this site was recomended to me ever since i re-discovered the joys of shooting my old Bob Lee Takedown Hunter Recurve...I ordered this bow almost 20 years ago but got distracted from archery raising 3 daughters..well the daughters are raised and big daddy here finally fletched up some XX75 2013 Superlites (i bought for this bow about 15 years ago)after not having much success with the CF shafts i had laying around for my compounds..and loving shooting my recurve since i'm finally getting such great arrow flight..hoping to learn more here and happy to have found this community..here's a few pix of my Bob Lee and some 20yd Groups i managed this week..Thanks again for having me and L8R, Bill.     :)

Thanks again for the "good shooting" compliments but in all honesty those are some of the better groups i was proud of but normally i'll toss 1-2 outta 5 just outside the blue ring at 20..but still..they'd be killing shots in the woods so i dont feel too bad! LOL!..in the late 80's early 90's i was a nfaa/faa state level archer BHFSL (fingers) but with compounds..i got sick of what to me turned into "Gear Wars" when the 3D competitions were just becoming popular where to keep up with the jonses and remain competitive (speed wise) i found myself having to update my compounds every year or two..and that's what turned me off..but?..also gave me cause to call up Bob Lee and order up my Take-down Hunter..i truely admired the trad guys back then..a fella named Greg Cadenhead started up Indian River Archers like 25 years ago in Vero, FL (where i've recently rejoined as a member) and it always seemed he and the huge TRAD crew up there always had more of a blast than the stressed out wheelbow guys..so for me?..the fun factor was way up there with the stick bows and i love it...and now?..i wanna remain open minded and learn more so that i can become more proficient with trad equipment..and looks like this is the place to get'er done!   :)

Great Bow!  I also have a Bob Lee hunter.  Not sure how old mine is but I've been told it was made sometime in the 90's.
