Thought this might be an interesting thread. What style of feathers do you guys use for hunting. I use parabolic.

I've been using a burned 4" medium high profile banana shape.  Seems to be best for me.  They are quiet and plenty of stabilization.

I use 4-4" parabolics in a 60x120 set up for all my arrows, target and hunting. Although I sometimes cut a 1/4" off the back of the parabolics to give them a slightly different look. Works for me just fine and nock alignment is not an issue because feathers line up the same regardless of how the arow is nocked on the string.
One stick, one string and an arrow I'll fling!

I have grown to like the 4 4" shield fletchings
very quite  and flies great.

I use 3 5" shield cut.  I can hear them sometimes.  It has never seemed to bother the deer, well, they never mentioned it.

4 - 3 inch shield cuts. Very quiet and I can get 3 fletching from one full length feather.

i vacillate 'tween a 4" chopped nanner 4-fletch with offset and 5.25" burnt shield 3-fletch with hefty helical.

but hey, it's all good for the most part, use what ya like.

Since I started bowhunting with trad bows, I've always used 3, 5" right wing parabolic feathers with lots of right helical twist.

Can you post a photo? Sounds interesting.

I myself use what I have on hand. 4" parabolics on some, 5" Shield on others. A few 4" shield.

I usually use 4" parabolics. Parabolic shape always seems to be the quietest for me.
