Question on Hoyt Gamemaster limbs?

Something has been bugging me with a bow i picked up here last week,the bow is a GM not GM2.Here's my question,Why does Hoyt make the limbs the way they do to attatch to the riser?Most T/D bows have the limb bolt hole up on the limb but Hoyt cuts the hole at the very bottom[notch]where the limb attatches to the riser and then provides a bolt with a flat surface to butt up against the limb.To me this just seems kind of risky because if the limb bolt would happen to come loose it may fall out of the locator pin and then Bamm.Also seems to be quite abit of light showing through where the limbs bolt on,But if you build up the pads to much then the locator pin will not go down far enough.Any thoughts on this.
