The morning started out clear and cool, full of stars and a waning moon. The light came quickly and it was sunrise.

Soon I hear a ruckus as a bunch of deer are quickly moving up the hill toward me. It is thick, and I can just make out movement....RACK!!! Another RACK!!! Two nice bucks and a smaller one are pushing some Does around this morning! Most of the deer move by on my left and over an edge, so I don't get to see them. Then, a nice buck, a solid 8 comes around the brush making small bounds. I get excited and I think I lifted my bow a little quick. He is at 3 yards, and gives me the "OOps I gotta go" look and hops off and stops up behind my right side. Way thick that way, so he wanders off casual. He didn't know what I was. A second nice buck pops up at 30 yards below me. I draw, release..... and drop my bow arm as I watch the arrow do the same and go just under the armpit. This was the first time I sat this spot, and I'll be back. Thanks for reading about my exciting morning.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
