Unsure of what my brace height should be. I think this is due in part to my poor shooting with it last week.

8"s is a good place to start, you may find the bow likes a bit higher or lower but 8"s is a good start. Shawn

My 1967 is set right at 8"... Gotta second what Shawn said!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

I had it at 7" brace before. You think that extra inch can make that large of a difference in a more stable shot?
This is the shortest bow I have ever owned so its kinda new stuff to learn for me.

Mine like 8".  All are early 1970's.  I initially started at 7" and they didn't seem to shoot so well, so it is worth a try to raise yours up.

I'm shooting my 70's just a tad over 8 and I have a 30" draw. Shoots straight and smooth! Jon

The 56" Grizzlies have a different limb profile than the 58" Grizzlies. I have found the ones I have owned shot best for me at 8.5" or even over.

WOW! over 8.5"?  I figured the 58" and 56" would differ a bit.

I set a 56" and 58" Grizzly next to each other resting on their limbs and the 56" Grizzly was 1.5"-2" higher than the 58" model.

One inch can make a HUUUUGGGEE difference. In fact it can make all the difference in the world.

I like my '70 Grizz at 8" as well.

So I got the girl to let me soot the grizzly today (still supposed to be a Christmas present). Anyway I upped the brace height to 8.25" and WOW!!!
I thought it was smooth before but D@m*!
This thing is like glass now. Smooth. Fast. Quiet. and NOW Accurate with an adjusted brace height and a tab rather than glove. Just wanted to share.
I have a new favorite bow! My 1970 Bear Grizzly!
