I recently put my quiver back on my bow to get ready for deer season and I discovered I like my bow whole lot better without the quiver. I got a new back quiver at Denton that I really like, just not sure of a real good way to carry my arrows with broadheads in it. I was hoping you guys would have some proven ideas perhaps with pics. My back quiver is a basket type quiver by Sue Dwyer.

Steve, I forgot your address, pm me and I'll send you some unshorn sheephide to play with (on the house). The heads sink into it, keeps it quiet. You can try it, you dont have to glue it in so if you dont like it..no big deal.

I used to put a hand full or two of bird seed in the bottom. Now however I cut a piece of carpet to fit the bottom of the quiver. Both methods work fine to keep arrows from banging together. Carpet is a little handier if I get caught in the rain for a spell.  :bigsmyl:

I just have the little leather booties made to fit the head, then tied off onto the shaft.  Homemade, nothing special.

i use some old foam and leather covers. keeps it pretty quiet

I use a plastic water bottle and old wally world sacks just stuff your water bottle between your shafts...and plastic bags in the bottom of quiver,,will never make a peep....

A handful of dried grass works good, seed oats and even oatmeal works.....unless it's raining    :D

You don't need anything in the quiver if you got one that is made properly.  The angle of the quiver on your back will hold the arrows quietly and if it hangs right the broadheads will not rub against each other and get dull.  If you have to do a bunch of stuff to get it to work, it isn't right to begin with.  :saywhat:

Anything soft that doesn't muck when wet will work to keep your bh's from moving around in the bottom. The whole secret to leather bq is to break it in completely so it lays down & conforms to your back. This will hold everything in place sure & quiet.

The thing is, he's using the basket type.

For your basket quiver I'd consider some of those foam tubes for swimming or foam tubes of insulation for pipes.

Post up a photo of it. Sounds interesting.

I used uncut sheep hide in my old quiver, the one I gave away with a bow. My new quivers could use some. Where does one buy that stuff? I bought mine from a fellow that had some scraps left over when he made a seat cover for his Harley.

Send me your address Pavan, I'll send you a chunk. No charge, I've got a bit left.

I use the unshorn sheephide too. Works great.
