I was taking a break from fletching up a test pack of arrows for a friend, and decided to see what was happening in the world of Tradgang, and the next thing you know I'm the proud owner of a simply beautiful Ambush recurve that I found on Chuck's website.      http://twotracksbow.com/

I saw this bow at the Great Lakes Longbow Invitational, and have been kicking myself the last month for passing it up, and when I went window shopping (I find myself doing this more and more) I saw the bow I had been kicking myself over for sale.  I wasted no time in calling Chuck and making sure it wasn't sold yet.  The rest is history.

Bow specks are 50" tip to tip, 49@28", and from what I have been hearing, from some of the other guys who have bought an Ambush recurve, this bow flat out smokes an arrow.  I will find out tomorrow when I drive up there to pick it up, and run it thru the chrono and post back my findings.  I know trad shooting has nothing to do with speed, but if I can smoke an arrow out of a 50" bow, I believe the world needs to know this.  If anything, it gives us all something to talk about.

I told my wife this bow is a money maker.  She asked me "How is this bow going to make money?"  And I told her I can finally sell some because I won't need to buy another one again.  She just smiled because she knows I'm neither going to sell any of mine, and also that I'm not done buying bows either, but it was still fun trying to get her to believe me.

You won't be sorry....Not only is Chuck's Ambush a fast little bow, it is also extremely quiet!

Mike, those 50" Ambush bows are the perfect size for shooting chipmunks  :p  AND they ride well on a bike!

I wanted the "Mermaid" bow Mike, but she was already taken.  You got a sweet looking one there yourself.

I'm thinking the little Ambush will be found in the swamps of South Carolia next spring chasing hogs and turkeys.  It's a little to late in the year for me to switch bows right before season, but look out come gobblin' and oink season next March.

i had one for about a week.  for its length its a really good shooter. only problem i had was the grip. it was designed for a skinny hand and mine are not. so when i shot the arrow owould rest on my hand and my hand would slide on the grip, really akward feeling.  but the guy i traded with didnt care for the bow i shipped him ether so we traded back. would like to get one in the future thats made for me, cause it was a good, fast little bow. want a black glass one with just simple woods.

I can say that I'm 6'3", and my hands are bigger than normal and the grip felt great in my hand when I held it at the GLLI.

Congrats on your new bow. I have one the same specs as yours, and it really smokes an arrow.I brew mine to 29" with no problems. Chuck makes a fine bow, and a looker too.
