Going over seas soon and want to leave a trail camera up. Want to hook a rechargeable feeder batter upt to trail cam with solar panel. See any voltage problems?

I used a 6v tractor batt on mine for 3-4 years til the camera died, takes thousands of pics per charge.

Checked the voltage of the camera battery and the tractor battery, same deal, think it was 6.4 volts.

Might check voltage on both before you do it....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Kenny ,
If your camera is 6 volt you are good the bigger the battery the longer it will last it is still only 6  volts.

Some cameras have a setting for rechargable batteries due to them putting out more than posted voltage with a full charge. Before using them I'd read my instruction book as you could damage the camera. Two of mine require this setting. One is a hand held camera and I believe the other is a Covert Trail cam, I'll read my book and see.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

As long as your camera is a 6v camera there should be no problems. I have a camera out that I rigged up with a solar charger about 4 seasons ago and it still works (the camera is just about shot and only takes daytime pics now but for about 2 1/2 years I never changed a battery and got tons of pics from that camera).

As stated above, I would read the manual to see if there is anything in it about this though.

Yep, mine took the 6v battery with springs on top, got tired of buyin 5-6 dollar batteries. 2 days in cold weather would sap em too.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
