well I love tinkering with my arrows and fletching and tuning and all that fun stuff...
I have several shops like Bass pro and Cabellas and local places that cut arrows close to my house so ive never needed a saw before and still wouldnt ... BUT the fact that they will NOT charge me to cut the arrows makes me feel like a free loader.. everytime I want arrows cut they say no charge and just hate going and asking now..
SO bottom line is what is best saw for the money.. I dont shoot aluminum arrows just carbon and wood..
Thanks
Ken

Depends on what you want to spend? There is a great little friction saw that Harbor Frieght sells that will do the job on Aluminumn,Carbon and Wood. Cheap also!!

well money is KEY to any situation.. I didnt spend the money on one before because.. I dont cut arrows "all the time" just seemed like a waste to do if i didnt need to.. but if its a reasonable amount I would like to.. and since I have all the fletching stuff in my shop I have "friends" coming over to use all my stuff LOL  :)
So a saw would come in handy for helping a buddy out..

My Dremel Multi-Max tool works GREAT with a combination blade. Plus, its pretty handy around the shop for other things.

I have a Harbor Freight Mini-Chop Saw and it works pretty well. These saws are fairly inexpensive.

You can do it with a Dremel tool, but Harbor freight has a nice little saw for about $25.  It's like a mini chop saw.  I've had mine for about 5 or 6 yrs now with no problems.  Check 'em out.

I have a dremel... lets just say it didnt work out well for me and my carbon arrows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put me down for the Dremel as well.  Great for cutting carbon arrows and I can use it for other projects around the house.

Spectre

Not the rotary one, the Multi-Max. Its a vibratory one. Extra cool.

I love my easton, pricy but i use it commercially. I have my old one here, just the motor dont know where the back half and rule went but easy to build another. motor runs fine and has the adjustable shelf that the shaft sits on while it is being cut. will sell cheap or trade if you are interested pm me.

I use an apple arrow saw. They are reasonably priced and do the job just fine.

For money spent i'd buy a Dremel tool and build a saddle mount for it..... that way you can still set up a slide stop for it when you need it. and use the dremel tool for other things when you are not cutting arrows.

here is a crude drawing....

I have the apple saw with the dust vacuum option. LOVE IT.

Kirk, you wouldn't have a pic of the real thing. I have a dremel and that looks pretty good/ easy to make.

Onlyaspike

I used a Dremel with a cut off wheel for years w/o problems...It took a little bit of time squaring up the end with a G5 ASD though afterwards. I bought a Weston 8000rpm saw w/ dust collector about a year ago and I LOVE IT !!! Well worth the money if your gonna start doing more arrows.

if you have a dremel, thats all you need, gets the job done just fine...just buy the little cutoff blades and your good to go, (wear your saftey glasses)
