I have several bows from 44 @ 28" to 51 @ 28". I draw about 27". Full length Goldtip 3555,s with a 100 grain insert and a 125 grain point shoot fairly well out of most of my bows. What Surewood shaft should I start with. I will get some points from 100 to 250 and could put some weight in the end by drilling and putting a weight in. I can only buy a couple of dozen right now. Thanks, Don

frassettor, my 10 week old kitten decided to jump on the keyboard and post for me    before I was ready. I have edited now, Don

I was shooting 60-65# surewoods with 150 grain head just today out of a 48# bow and they flew great.  Bow was a Stewart slammer longbow.  so I would try somewhere 55-65# unless you add a lot of weight to the front.  I also shot 55-60 sitkas out of a similar bow and they were great.  Hope that helps.

I'd suggest you start with a test kit so you can figure out what each bow likes best, then build arrows to suit.

I shoot 50-55 and 55-60's out of my bows with 125 up front. My bows range from 45-52lbs @ 28.  Tim Harris has a good suggestion to find what works for you since a lot o factors come into play such as length of shaft, weight of head and shelf cut.
Relax,
