Hello, I have a PMA Widow that has barely-there bat wings, but I just got a Herters Sitka and an old Widow that had very pronounced wings (the front protrusions on the back of the riser) and they are shooters and very very stable. Does any contemporary bowyer make such a style any longer? I don't recall seeing any such bow.
Thanks!

Habu might be considered that.  Looks a lot like a widow.  I have a beautiful Browning Explorer I that has them.  Not made anymore though.

I like the looks of those old Herter's also.  The Widow PA (one piece) looks more like this than the PSA or PMA too me. I own a PAX and PSAIII and MUCH prefer the one-piece.

The Habu has a similar limb attachment strategy (but much more precise than any recurve I own) but the "horns" aren't as pronounced as the Widow PA or the old Herter's.

Sixby

Yes and he builds a fantastic bow. Bigfoot Bows by Kirk Lavender whoe is a sponser here. They are super fast, dead in the hand bows. One of the few bows I own from a builder other than myself.

God bless you, Steve
