So I know where a good active hog wallow is on public land.  I would gesss they are strictly nocturnal as it is 108 around here but it is also very dry and this is an arm of a lake so it has water for now. I would imagine they are hitting it regularly and maby staying untill first light.  Do you think it is worth hunting these now or would you wait untill it cools off?  I want to eat anything I kill unless hogzilla tempts me too much.  But it would realy be about geting some meat.  What do you think, does 100+ weather make hogs unpalitable?

Good luck to you!

Hunt them year round here. Soak them 7 days in ice water changing water daily. Get them gutted & on ice asap & you'll be fine. I like eating the 100#'ers.

Good to hear.  I know I have to get the meat cool ASAP but I was worried it might not taste as good in the summer heat.  I hope I get a chance to hit this spot before we get any rain or someone else does.  I think they are using it a lot from the looks of things and the drought should keep them around the water but I am no expert on hogs.  Now if I can convince the wife that I am not needed this weekend.

Hogs MUST water every day...and when it's hot the need becomes an imperative.

I don't think they'll be there in the middle of the day...unless there is an area that is in shade where they feel a little protected and can get in some shallows and 'wallow' around a little...if there is...i'd put a ladder stand in there and stay put!

If not, early and late is your ticket.

Maybe you can put a trail camera out and find out when they are coming in to keep from using up brownie points with the Mrs. prior to going?
