Plan on buying some new hunting duds and wanted to know what you guys reccomend.

Wanting a set for early season and a set for late season. definetley want wool for late season preferably a good camo pattern wool and a lighter weight set for early season.

Wool is IT. I wear oldvarmy surplus green trousers.  I wear wool smocks from australia   We get cold although it was 93 today. Look around price things out

Wool is hard to beat when it is cold. Microtex and Microtex lite from Cabela's is wonderful when the temps are more moderate.

The sitka stuff is nice for early season... try to pick it up when they slash prices for year end sales.

Make sure to check out Gray Wolf, both for the Wolfskin early season and wool for later.  Great hunting clothing in the best camo patterns around!  From time to time you can pick up some good deals on the closeouts and returns page.
They are a sponsor here and have been for a long time.

I'll second the "Gray Wolf"......give Jeff a call, he will take care of you. My wife and I have had some of his gear every since he first took over the business, GREAT stuff and looks as good as it did the day we recieved it.

Wool is tops. But I have to say...I bought a Wooltimate fleece jacket from Cabela's and I LOVE the thing.

Gray wolf gets my vote for late season too.  For early season, I am really liking the new KUIU.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

It's been suggested to me, by those with FAR more experience than I, that my new Kuiu gear would be excellent for early season and, when it gets real cold, throw a nice piece of wool over the top.  All you need after that (besides a big bank account to get that stuff) is something for torrential downpours.

Wool is great; but Cablea's Wollimate will stretch a little bit more when your fat side.
