Does anyone have any opinion on which would be better?

Thanks and I apologize if this has been asked before!

Reaper TN

I have owned a few Samicks, some cheaper and a few higher end bows.  All were great bows that were well worth the price I paid for them.  Haven't heard alot of good things about the Ragim line of bows, but I've never owned one.  I would go with the Sage.

My wife has a Sage and it is a good shooting bow.  Both the kids have samick bows and they are good bows.  I traded for a Red Stag the other day and it is a shooter.  My son has an Impala and it is the second because the limb delaminated on the first.  I heard Ragim built the limbs on my Martin Jaguar and the glass started peeling the first week I had it.  The limbs on it now are the second set.  I haven't had any more trouble with the Jag and my son hasn't had any more Impala trouble.  That's my 2cents worth.

I have a Ragim impala with 2 sets of limbs and really like it. No problems so far.

I have a friend who has a Sage. It came with the wrong length string and finish could be better, only knocks. I made him a D-97 flemish, wool puffs, was whisper quiet, shot great, tuned in 10 minutes and was pretty darn fast for any price bow. It was a different bow with a new string. If  you get one, pm me and I will make you a string and send it to you free. Sam.

For the money, the Sage is hard to beat. I bought one as a loaner / spare, and after I put 10 coats of poly on the riser, it is a nice looking little recurve. #45 and shoots fast. As low end bows, you can't expect them to invest alot in the finish and sell them that cheap. I don't think you will find a recurve of that quality for that price anywhere, unless of course you find a good used Bear or browning recurve.

I had a Ragim Impala, OK bow for the price but IMHO the Samicks are a better bow.

With my Impala it seemed to stack really quickly even at my 27" draw, a friends Samick shoots like a dream.
Never had any issues with the Ragim though.

Ihaven't had a Sage but I had a Red Stag takedown it was a great shooting bow, I also had a 55lb Ragim Impala with the striped riser 09 model it was a great shooter too! I think the samick was a nicer bow overall!

I think I'll go with the Sage....it seems like a winner....

I'm the friend that Sam Koger speaks about having the Sage. Sam is correct, he made a new string for mine and it was like a total different bow. Mine is marked 55# but I suspect its a tad heavier. It will absolutely smoke an arrow.

Its a great bow for any purpose especially for the price just put a good string on it and watch the difference.

Just bought my wife a Sage and I have limbs made by Samick for my titan I am very happy with both. I have no experience with Ragim but I really love my samicks. Chris

I found the Impala on eBaiy.com blemished for about 120 dollars and then add shipping. It's a great bow and I would hunt big game with it. No problems with stacking here.

Just used it last Saturday.
