I believe my bow is either getting stress cracks or is delaminating at the fade out at the bottom of the riser. I have a tomahawk diamond series bow and right underneath the glass below the fade out on the back side of the bow there appear to be many minute cracks. They look a little white however which is leading me to believe the bow could also be delaminating. I have always shot a heavy arrow of of this bow (in between 10 and 11 GPI) and have never dry fired it. What could be causing this and is it safe to shoot.

Can you post some close-up pics? Maybe someone with more knowledge can pitch in and help you out.

I have noticed also that when strung the "cracks" appear to get larger.

How long is the bow?  What's your draw length? Could be a fluke weakness in the materials there, or glue starvation.  Could also be the result of overstressing caused by a draw length too long for the bow. Tends to occur more on heavier weight bows.

JamesKerr

the bow is 62 inches long and I draw 27.5".

I have contacted 3rivers and they are having an expert look at it. I am not shooting it right now. Hope the expert says everything is alright.
