Just picked up a 1963 Grizzly (Dogleg) Type I 50@28 grey/green color tips. Is it safe to shoot? Any idea to the value, very good shape no stress? Thanks in advance.   :archer2:

You may want to post this on Trad History and Collecting.  Many opinions on this, but some of the more well known collectors seem to think most Grizzly Type 1's are OK.

From what I've read on them the Magnum's are to blame for the issues on the Type 1.

I shot mine lots when I had them. You can look on the auction site for help with value.

How'd they shoot Bjorn?  I don't have a Type 1 in my Grizzly den yet

They worked really well, had a 55# and a 46#; the 55# had the skinnier riser-never had any qualms about using either of them.
