Well fellas, some of you may remember my post not too long ago about having knee surgery. Well i finally had it, (delayed, by allergic reaction) and it may have been the best thing for my shooting ever.

Before i went under i set myself up a range on my front porch complete with bow holder bag target, and own ppersonal arrow puller   :bigsmyl:  AKA My Girlfriend of 5 yrs, Callie.

I really have been focusing on my form and shoulders. i traded for a light #45 bow to make things easier as well. Man alivive, im busting nocks at about the rate of about 1 a day, now granted its 11-12 yards, but im happy, thats my typical shot range.

To beat all Cal said today, "Let me shoot that thing" i chuckled and said "sure". Now dont get me wrong, shes dang deadly with her pink wheelie, having taken several deer in the past 5 years but i still had my doubts. She sits down in my chhair, and procedes to put 4 arrows right behind the bag deers shoulder. My mouth hit the deck, she chuckled and said "its not too hard i dont guess". i was blew away. Well now im surfing for a cheap 40-45 pounder lol.

So i gotta say, as much as i dreaded this surgey, it has really improved my shooting quite abit, and may have brought me a new trad partner. So next time we are faced with things we really dont want too do, slow down and think of the positives that may come out of even the most dreaded of things. God bless you all, and thanks for being such awesome people on an awesome site!!  :goldtooth:

Excellent! Glad to hear your re-hab is going well. I believe the best news is the little Lady taking to the Trad gear. Now you can both bust-up your nocks!

Could you go over one more time exactly how you managed to convince Callie to be your arrow puller?  About everything you said made great sense - except that part!

Listen to your Doctors and do your rehab - I'm sure you'll have a full recovery for you!

Congrats on all counts!

This has me doing a OMGosh!

Many, many years ago, someone on anothe forum pre-Gang posted "What to do with a Squirrel hide" and mentioned he'd skinned a roadkill Fox Squirrel and put hide in freezer. Long story short, he mentioned he made earings out of the feet for his sister.

That post set a record on that site for the longest post with everyone asking about his sister. She ended up marrying one of the posters!          :scared:
