Got it. Had some spider silencers and had built the serving up a little for woodies. It was actually noise from the nock fitting too tight.
Quiet as a church mouse now.

One of the best looking Mohawks I've seen, and I've seen a lot of them.

try a low strand count hmpe string for yer mohawk.  the lesser strands make for a more stable and quiet 'hawk for me.  currently using 8 strands of dyneema with padded loops (endless, of course).  i also think that less hmpe strands make for a somewhat safer string in that it's a tad more "forgiving" than 50% more added strands.  an 8 strand hmpe string (pick out most any string fiber brand and model ya like) will still yield at least 800# tensile strength, which will far and exceed the needs for even a 65# stick bow.

for silencers, i keep them on the small side and adjust their location for best effectiveness.  is use 1/2 a hush puppy (new zealand wool) on each end area of the bowstring and after it shoots in i give it a good hair cut.  :D
