Anything that can be made can be fixed.  Should be a straightforward repair.

I feel your pain, but I like to think of such incidents as reminders that nothing and no one is perfect and posessions aren't so important in the grand scheme.  Sounds like you already know that though.  Good luck - John

ok, ok, I was having a mental breakdown yesterday!

Didn't sleep. Eat far to much.

But now, I'm better. I called and then rode out to see Leon. The man was packing up to his cabin to go hunt turkey on opening day. I kinda didn't give him an option of not seeing me. I did say I was in a poor mental state... (: He is a gentleman.

He said, "well, its hit in a safe part of the limb. Why don't you leave them with me and I'll bring them to the Baltimore Bowmen Shoot all fixed up. You can take these limbs with you in the mean time."

Holy crap!!!! Yeah me! Now I have to tune three or four arrows to the new limbs. btw the limbs have carbon fiber in them.

If they feel good and the arrows go where I want them too, I will be turkey hunting in the morning!!!

Thank you!, everyone for talking me "off the ledge."

Gobble gobble.

Sorry about that, I hope it is easy and cheap to fix.

Ouch...Hopefully it can be repaired.

I'd send it to Leon ASAP. Don't shoot it. Just take it apart, wrap it up, and stick it in the mail. Better to be safe than sorry. Shoot it and you just might make things worse.

Ouch. Oh well **** certainly does happen.

I remember about 5 years ago, I pulled my motorcycle behind my truck and washed and waxed it really well. (The area behind the truck was the most accessible with the hose.)

Well, I then went inside and took a nap for about 2 hours. My alarm didn't go off for me to go to work, so I was almost late and rushed out the door.

I completely forgot that my motorcycle was parked BEHIND my truck, and it sat low enough that it didn't appear in my rear view. I popped her in Reverse and CRUNCH.

THAT was hard to live down. Needless to say I got made fun of incessantly by my buddies. Believe it or not, the damage was under $200. Very lucky.

Good luck brother. Don't feel bad. It happens.

It stinks that little lapses in paying attention can cause so much grief. I have a beautiful MOAB. When I was done with a round of shooting I set it on the ground, dumb. It was on some gravel. As I was walking back I was talking to a friend and not paying attention. I got to the bow quicker than expected and not only walked on the bow, but stood there for a minute before I realized it. It still shows the deep scratches 4 years later.

Glad to hear everything worked out well. Good luck with the Turkeys, and have a safe trip to Baltimore.

Super Glue and a re-spray and you will never know it happened excet for the flash backs.

I believe in doing one thing stupid every day just to give perspective when I do something right.

Lee Robinson .

Without seeing the bow, I can't speak on the seriousness of the damage. Something like that could just be a blemish, or it could be lights out.

HOWEVER, if you repair it properly BEFORE messing with drawing or shooting it again...I would say there is a very good chance you could repair it.

I myself would not use super glue. I would be sure the bow is unstrung, sand the surrounding surfaces, and then cap it with an overlay of phenolic or glass. I would do this with smooth on epoxy. Have the cap fade out paper thin and do the other limb for balance. Then I suspect you will be back in business.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

And I thought I was the only one that did that kind of stuff.
