It sees Bear have made some changes to the Fred Bear Montana(visible even the pics). I wonder if anyone had a chance to try it to see how it compares to the older model which I heard had a "blocky" handle. Hopefully improved?
Thanks

I'm interested as well. I'm looking at this as a potential next bow.

Reaper TN

I just sold a 45 pound Montana a few days ago.  Picked it up about a month ago, poundage was too low for me and didn't want to buy a bunch of lower spined arrows to match the bow.   It was a 2011 model and looked just like my 07 model 50 pounder except for the limb tips. Still a great shooter and dead quiet.  The grip looked and felt just like the older Montana, "blocky".  The only difference I could see was that the limb tips were much thinner (reduced mass), should perform a little better than the older design. Putting a 12 strand D-97 string on my 07 model made it perform much better.

I had a chance to hold one and I think the grip is a bit more "dished" now for more consistent hand placement, overall its still blocky but I'd say my impression was that is def. better than the older ones.
