I've got a nice 3D range minutes from the house on some public land.

Decided to stop by after work with my recurve and give it a go.

Had the place to myself!

Had a great time!

Carried 3 arrows with me and came back to the truck with all 3, so I guess it was a good shoot! lol!

And yes, I whiffed a few targets and had to cut my arrows out of the trees they embedded themselves in.lol!

Here's one of my better groups at a 20ish or so yards on a puddy tat target.

Saw a "live" deer as well.  First one I've seen with my new recurve in my hand.  To bad it wasn't in mid September...lol!

Love shooting 3D courses with my recurve.  I am very fortunate to belong to a local group that has a 3D course with multiple targets at each station, good backdrops.  It is the best way to practice for hunting situations IMO.

:)

It is such a joy to carry a light bow. Wish I had a range like that nearby.

Glad you enjoy your bow.

Sounds like fun. Shooting a pillow target on the powerline ROW in my neighborhood gets old.
Headed to the deer lease to do some stump shooting tomorrow.

Nice! My practice situation is limited, and my shooting shows it.

3-D and stump shooting are the best practice for learning your arrows cast at various distances. great hunting practice...

Nice shooting I just shoot my first 3d course with my recurve a couple weeks ago. When I took my bow out of the case I got some weird looks from the other shooters. But towards the end of the round I heard a guy say that I could go hunting with him any day of the week. So that made me proud to be a traditional bowhunter.  SO have fun and aim small and shoot straight thanks for sharing good luck
