The area of Ontario I live in has an event called the Seaway Challange consisting of clubs along the St.Lawrance seaway and Lake Ontario. There are 5 clubs and you must shoot three events to qualify. My two sons and I did the first leg this weekend and we had a blast. Weather was a mix of everything, sun, rain, snow, sleet and hail prety much had it covered there. My two boys shot well and so did I. My youngest came fifth in his division, my oldest came first in his and I placed second. This was the first year my oldest and I shot from the same stakes which was kinda fun. It was a tough shoot with many of the targets at the 30y traditional max and very few under 20. My oldest scored a 146 which was enough to win by 40 points the wind played havoc with his arrows and shooting his old 20# bow didn't help I'm sure he'll do much better when his nw 32# bow arrives. I came second with 249 which was 36 points behind first place and that was with 4 missed targets, I actually hit three of those but glancing blows don't count. Was a great shoot with over 100 shooters and many of those where kids which is great to see. Our next one is a month away and I the boys are excited already!!

Sounds like a great day, if you win or lose if every one had a good time, that's important! Two more events to qualify, heck shoot all 5 if you can...lol!

I'd love to shoot all five but they all fall on days I work and I'm having to take a loss in pay just to shoot three plus I'll be in the Yukon for last two.

Being in the Yukon is a good excuse......
