I recently began fixing torn fletchings with titebond III and they seem to be indestructible, even with being in the rain for hours at a time, and the feathers wont peel up after a few hay bale pass thru's like they do with fletch glue. I havent used it to fletch a whole arrow yet but was wondering if anyone on here had and did they have any decent luck with it?

I've never used it.I've used fletch tite and it was fine the fletch tite platinum and I'm not impressed ?! Bad batch ? I've ordered goat tuff and will see...If not I might try titebond III...
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Stumpkiller

Titebond III might not work as well on a shaft with a lacquer or thick polyurethane finish.  It needs to soak into the pores of wood (and feather bases).

I've been using Duco with great results.

I use Platinum fletch tite on all my arrows,I use Duco on wood arrows with a polyurethene finish.Never have run into any problems, just what I'm used to.

Rock Crusher

I like goat tuff. I've tried some other glues and fletch tape and still like goat tuff the best.

Javi

I use Bohning Platinum Plus on all my arrows never had any issues especially since I started using wraps.

I've never had any gluing problems on my aluminum arrows using the old Fletch-Tite or the newer Fletch-Tite Platinum.

Saunders will hold anything to anything. Its all I use with all varieties of shafts and sealers, vanes or feathers. Not one has ever pealed off.

Buckwheaties

2nd the Saunders NPV, I've used the others with mixed results but have finally settled on the Saunders. The only drawback if it matters to you is the dry time per feather. I give mine about 10 minutes. Doesn't bother me but may bother some??

Make that 4 in support of Saunders NPV.  Fletch tite platinum does not work as consistently.  I've tried four tubes in recent past.  Two worked great, two produced no hold.  I've commented before I don't think this a shaft prep issue, nor a batch to batch variance.  I think it's shelf life, especially after the tube is opened.

bucksbuouy

I just use super glue gel but it can get messy. you cant pull a fletch off my fir arrows without destroying the arrow. any glue that is stronger then the wood is good enough for me.

dnovo

The Saunders is good stuff. I have used it with very good results. Lately I've given up on the platinum and went back to the Duco with much better results.
The original fletch tite was a lot better stuff than the platinum and a lot cheaper too.

I gave up on "fletching" glues a long time ago.  I've never worked with woodies, but on Carbon or Alum arrows Loctite Super Glue GEL is end all be all.  Super easy to use, super fast to use and like mentioned...you can't them off if you try.  (Put a dap of glue on the front and back of the quill after the arrow is done.)

I've used fletch-tite & platinum. Now I'm using Bohning fletching tape. Havn't had any problems with any of them. Just keep the shaft clean..............DaveP
