Thoughts on this bow please. I am looking at one and will probably end up with the bow. Just want some feedback from users current and old. Thanks

Wish I wouldn't have sold mine   :knothead:

I shot Shawn Leonards and was totally impressed.  so much so, that I ordered one a few days ago.  The draw was smooth through out, it felt good in hand, and I shot it very accurately.  it was a 54" bow and I have a 29" draw, no finger pinch.  Shawns was actually the first Arroyo that Kevin made.  I'm sure that he will chime in as soon as he sees this post.

Shawn Leonard

Yup, great bows, all of Kevins bows are nice but the Arroyo is very smooth, quick and quiet. I have the 54"er and love the way it shoots. Workmanship is second to none as well. You will not be disappointed!! Shawn

Hard to find a quieter recurve.

I think you'll find only good comments here..
I've never read anything bad on Arroyos!

I own two arroyos. All things being equal, you won't find a better recurve even if you spend twice the money. Flawless workmenship in a high speed tack driver. It surprises me that you don't hear more about these bows.

Still loving my 62" after about 4.5 years.  It's just a fun and easy bow to shoot well.  It has a little twang bare with ff string, but it's really quiet with limbsavers and string leaches.  I have a couple of take-downs for travelling, but the Arroyo is my main bow for shooting and hunting locally.

I have a 58" Arroyo.  It is one of my favorites.  The workmanship is superb.  The bow is quiet and shoots where I look.

I have Kevin's 4th Arroyo that I got in a trade and I can tell ya it is a smooth bow to draw ....Mine is all Bocote and I only wished I waited to find a lighter weight one to trade for...Don't get me wrong cause it draws smooth for 52# but I have a reattached hand that was severed in a logsplitter and I wished mine was a mid 40's in weight just cause I can handle that much better and I jumped the gun and got the first one offered to me in a trade...I can tell you this the arroyo is really quiet,no finger pinch and has a really nice grip ...RER is one of the finest bows I've ever shot...You won't go wrong buying one ....God Bless, Keefer's <><

The first custom I ever owned thanks to Shawn Leonard. He squared me away when I was just getting started, and pointed me in the right direction. I owned 3 Arroyos after selling my compound, and just like everything else, I started experimenting and ended up selling them off to fund other bows in search of the "One". Still haven't found it, but man I sure do miss those Arroyos. If I could get my hands on the first one I had, I would be ecstatic. 60" Tiger wood with a Zebra flare. #55 @ 28". You still out there?????????

Out of all the bows I've owned up to this point, I have to say the Arroyo is the best recurve I've owned, and I've had a lot that cost twice as much.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

wish to heck i still had mine.let her go in a weak moment.

Draw characteristics are superb and it shoots real nice. I never liked the grip on the bow, which is very deep into the riser. The all  bocote LH was beautiful. I sold it with a profit... That is hard to do with any used traditional bow..

6feathers

DI have a 62" Arroyo 53#.  I would not trade this bow for the world, easy bow to shoot, smooth to draw and quite fast.
