+1 on the Endeavor
I also have a Defiant which I like a lot. The Endeavor just has more zip and I like 58" bows. I also like the higher brace height of the Endeavor (and my Shrew) which has less string/sleeve interference when I'm wearing multiple layers.

Zradix

what is the brace ht of the endeavor vs the defiant?
Both are very interesting bows.
Thanks

Zrad: my Endeavor's bh is only about a half inch higher than my Defiant but it may be the deflexed riser which contributes to added clearance. They have very different braced profiles.

Maybe it's just in my head or possibly the grip but with rather snug long sleeves I don't need any arm guard for the Endeavor.

Zradix

Sometimes 1/2" is as good as a mile.
When I get around to building my 1st bow it'll be designed for a longer brace ht.

Might be a little slower, maybe slightly more forgiving...I just don't want to have to worry about clearance of my bundled up bow arm on a 0˚ day.

The Endeavor I believe is 58 inches long, no to very slight hand shock, outstanding handle, and even with those short little limbs it is pretty quick.  It is a relatively quiet bow and has better than average performance.  My buddy shoots one of the prototypes.  His is fast.  The production bows are as fast as his at 6 pounds lighter, quieter also.  Dave builds a real nice bow and those limb tips are often works of art.  you can not go wrong with a Dwyer.

I have a defiant and an endeavor.  The defiant is a good bow, but I've come to prefer the endeavor.  It's quieter, faster, smoother at the end of the draw and obviously a little shorter. That bow was made to hunt.

Yep Ken I remember, problem is though is that the defiant in question is possibly the best looking longbow I've seen (biased of course!)  From a purely performance standpoint the endeavor just has too much r/d to compare the two.

I have both and they're both great bows but I prefer the shorter Endeavor.

I have a defiant and it's great! You can't go wrong with any Dwyer bow. Personally, I want a new Dwyer Orinial Longbow.
