I wanted some insite on what I was looking at today.I was at a 3-d shoot today an this guy had a 1976 bear target bow it was 70inches long it had a red-white an blue "C" riser with a chrome stablizer that was about 24 inches long.It was a take down an the take down hinges were also chrome. If Iam not mistaking he said he had it put away for 20 years. An he just broke it out an was going to start shooting again.the bow is 50lbs an in great condition.thanks for your in put ED.

sounds like a Patriot C Riser bow.  nice looking bows.  50 pounds is not the norm these were mainly target bows so they are typically in te 30 pound range.

Plumber

your right it was a "c" riser

Your right. Most were used for target shooting with light weight limbs.
I did come across the same setup with #65 limbs attached!
This is a very unusual setup....

It could have been marked 50#on the A riser, then on C it can be around 45#!
