Just wondering if anyone has one.  This company (father and son) was located here in S. Illinois around Marion.  I actually had the son in my program.  They got out of the business due to the need to travel to shows to further promote their bows.  The father had a full time job and his travel ability was restricted from what I understood.

This was all at least 20 yrs ago I guess.

They built flat bows and Long bows that were of substancial quality.

I would like to get my hands on one of their LB's just for the local history.

I have two of them, a long bow and a recurve.
My first trad bow deer was shot with the long bow. George

This was on the other site several years ago.   Back on July 28, 04. There was a repy by the maker of the bow. Inhimwelive, I'm the guy who built that bow. I really appreciate the kind words from everyone. I really enjoyed the bow business. It was a real pleasure dealing with the finest people in the world. As BT said, due to my fathers illness and ultimate death in combination with a two year illness of my wife (with no insurance) I was forced to give up my hobby and get a real job. I have not taken bow orders since 1997. Dale Anderson, who was my partner, was forced to quit due to other job commitments. We are both still active in archery and bowhunting. Dale keeps tellin me about these 40-50lb Bighead carp he's shootin on the river about every weekend. Guess I'll have to try that. 14CM would probably argue that active part, he's been trying to get a bow out of me for a couple of years now. Someday John, Someday. To those I made mad at me during those times, due to missed delivery dates and what not, I apologise to you! Archery and bowhuntin have been a part of me for almost 35 years now, all but a couple of years in the mid '70s have been with traditional equipment. I've never found a quittin place and God willing I never will. If you have questions feel free to send me a PM. God Bless Ed Barwick

I have one of the Shawnee Traditions longbows. A Shawnee Hunter it's 68" long and 58# @ 30" draw. It's a dandy of a bow. I made my longest and shortest shots on deer with this bow. The longest was about 28 yds. and the shortest was 18", I had to lean backwards to draw the bow. Just a great bow. Thanks Ed and mine came on time.
I don't remember what issue, but TBM had a article on the company

I've got a buddy who has a Shawnee Traditions recurve.  I love that bow.  It falls on that list of fine bows that were discontinued before you got a chance to purchase one.
