A guy asked to me build a string for his kids little longbow, it is a bear little blue 40" nock to nock so I will build it 37" long with B-50 my question is how many strands and what size serving.
Thanks

Build it for the arrow nocks.
This is a 20 pound or less bow, right? Any string built with B-50 will be strong enough, so look to the child's arrows to guide the strand number and whichever serving. The Brownells serving works fine.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I typically use 6 strands of B-50 for my kids bows and double serve.

I make them 8 strand so the nocks fit nice.
Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.
