Smallwood

could you please tell me what the Renaissance longbows center cut measurement is?

thanks,
Sammy

Steelhead

I believe 1/8th its out from center Sammy on the Renaissance.

i have three berry bows and all are cut to different dimensions,my renaissance i just took a file too cause it wasn't deep enough, shoots better now, with wider range of arrow spine,if you are ordering a bow you should ask some questions!

The Renaissance,Vipers,Yeweh and Pit Vipers typically were cut to 1/8th out from center for more stength in the riser and it made them legal for longbow class at certain shoots that required a longbow to be cut 1/8th out from center.

The forward handle Tiapan and Appollo I had were center shot.

Non of my other ones were.I had 3 Rennaisance longbows and all were 1/8th out from center.

I had a somewhat newer made Scorpion built by Berry about 6 years ago and He asked if I wanted it cut closer to center and I said sure, why not.

You could probably requeset 1/8th out from center or 1/16th and possibly center shot on a Renaissance if he thought it would be structurally sound long term?

Most of the bows coming off the Renaissance form I have handled over the years are 1/8th out I do believe.

thanks,
sammy
