I imagine not. I build with an I beam and cross laminations. I didn't post because even though my bows are foreward riser they are not remotely like a Widow. They are a static recurve with a low brace height.

Check out website to see them. God bless you all and have a great day. Steve

I apprecitate the suggestions, please keep them coming.

If you want a heavy riser Dakota Bows is also an option.  They shoot great.

I don't know the model, and I've been looking for one for a very long time (LH). Herters made a very massive riser recurve. In the fall of 1973 I shot on the outdoor range at Purdue almost daily. A bearded fellow would show up from time to time with this big-horned Herters.

It was a one-piece.

The closest thing to this Herters I've found is the Widow PA which I bought 5 days ago -- LOVE it!

If you mean in the way they shoot, that would be the Mathews compounds. But they are so ugly, who would want one of those?
If it's in your way, move it.

If you are fond of the weight forward riser you could do a lot worse than the old Browning Explorers.

Ben Pearson also had a "Mercury" line that had vials of mercury imbedded in the riders.

You might just have to face the bitter truth that there really is nothing like a Widow.    :)

The takedown recurve that Stillwater Archery  used to offer and maybe still do. And also Abowyer had models similar to the Black Widow SA before Larry became A&H Archery.

If someone would help me post a pic of my Samick Hawkeye, I have a MA and SA Black widow and this bow is a close copy of the MA and a real shooter. I don't believe they make it anymore though....Bobby

actually....the widow and others are more copies of the Browning BackPacker than anything else....Harry Drake was big in development of a few Browning recurves most notably the Browning Wasp and Browning Explorer models.

Black Widow, Habu and a few other also use the mass forward setup with limbs rear mounted.  It is an efficient and stable setup though heavier than some other designs...but is solid, reliable, steady and makes a great bow.

I also think the Silvertips have the riser mass if you get the Dymonwood riser that is resin impregnated...maybe some older Bruins....

A few others that are similar in feel and function...if not specifically visual appeal.

Good luck...
