I just bought my wife a takedown bob lee recurve. The bow is 45# @ 28", and she is pulling about 24 to 25 inches. This puts her in the high 30's for poundage.

This light of a set-up is foreign land to me!

I just need a starting point. The lightest spined arrows in my house are 2016's.

Thanks so much...

Big Ed

I would say a 1816 with 175 up front and leave them at 28"

Talk to Big Jim.  When I told him what my wife was drawin', and at what length, 21",he turned me onto Gold Tip Ultra Light, Entrada 600.  They're great arrows, and shoot like darts outta her bow.  Good luck.  :archer2:

What Big Ed said...  1816 at 28" and fine tune with tip weight.

Yeah...1816's weighted a bit at the front or 600 spine carbons!

I used cx maxima 150 with out the weight forward at 28" with 200 up front and flys like a dart and hits hard worked great on her deer

My girlfriend shoots a '65 Kodiak 42#@28"...she's pulling it a little short of that and I have her using 1916's with 135 on the front.  I've stood over her shoulder watching them and they seem to fly just fine.

My wife's bow is 35# @ 26.5" we play"d around with diffrent shafts. What we ended up with that are a good all around shaft for about anything is Thundrstorm shafts (Carbon Express)35/50 cut at 29" with 145grns. up front. Arrows are 430grns. She shoots right through thin skinned animals like deer at 20yrds or less. They hold up nice too.
