Well, I've been meaning to make one of those thar arra spinner thingys for a while now, got it done finally last week.  (Resolution#2 was to post these pics   :D   ) Anyways, I guess I could have used four nails or four marbles and it would have been just as effective, but I've never been one to let reason or good judgement deter me!!   :readit:
Anyways, the cool thing about the rollers that I got form Lowes is they have the same thread as an arrow insert. (Imagine a  forest fire of scheming at that realization!!)  Anyhow, After a firm self-talking to (took longer to convince myself than one would hope), I was discouraged from using broadheads and settled on the relatively safe (and boring) field points. So in the interest of time, here it is...  Probably didn't need a hand-rubbed finish either, but then again, it couldn't hurt either...

Got the wood from some old pallets that were getting thrown away.  Not bad grain eh?

Thought thats what I did.  You have to delete the [img} part front and back right?

no sir...when you delete the img code it causes it to show up like it did with you.
Just copy and then paste the whole code, then use the preview button on here to be sure you did it right then...magic.   :)

Nice looking spinner, I've got a few spare pieces of oak I've been wondering what to do with. Looks like I've found an answer. Guess I'll follow your lead and make a spinner.

Thanks for the Idea!

Covey

Great looking spinner! Where did you get the rollers? Might try my hand at making one. Jason

Thanks fellas.
Hey Ken, was just wondering about you yesterday.  Glad to see you on here again.  Hope all is well.

A spinner is a simple little tool to help you keep your inserts true to the arrow shaft during the glue in phase of the process.  I like to let the glue set a little so that its a little firm and will hold your tweaking as you go. Your results may vary..

Truthfully I only made this thing to gain some sort of competetive edge over Drew in our next stumping session.  Unfortunately I dont think its gonna help me much.

Covey, I got them at Lowes.  $3.97 I think.  Good luck

Also the longest headed, machine-trued, broadheads are the best for this(glue-ons might not be the best for this). You wanna extend that plane as long as you can in order to get a true representation of how the insert sits.
