hey guys.i have an older Bitz fleching jig.this one is the older one with the leaver up top instead of the dials.my question is,will a new clamp work on the older jig.i have a left, but also want a right wing too.i know i also need the indexer.will the new clamp work?if not, where could i find an older clamp?thanks guys, steve

Fletcher

I haven't tried the newer clamp on the old jig, but as I understand, it works.  Don't worry about the indexer; that jig is from before the time of L and R indexers and they don't exist.  The L and R were actually made to give compounders a little better cable clearance with helical fletch.  We can do just fine with a standard or "straight" indexer.

I have the old style jig with the levers, and the newer style with the dial.  I interchange the clamps all the time, works fine.  like Fletch said, you don't need an indexer

ditto...and there are qualities in both the new and the old that are different. Sometimes "new and improved" is not necessarily true.  Anyway, back to your question...yes the clamps are interchangeable.

I have 4 Bitz one of them is as you described-they all accept the same clamp.
