Family is taking a vacation to Yellowstone this summer and I wondered what bowyers were near there? Thought that I might try to stop by some if they were close.  Thanks.

Dan Toelke is in Ronan, MT...not real close though (about 6 hours).

Lots of bow builders in Hamilton, Mt.,  area which isn't too far away.  Howard Hill, Thunderhorn, Selway I think, Whispering Wind arrows, and a few others that I can't recall right now.

Dick Robertson is in Forest Grove (according to his web site.  Don't know what part of the state that's in.

Kalispell is another 50 or so miles north of Ronan so it's at least 6-7 hours away, but both on the way if you decide to also visit Glacier.

robertson is close to lewistown, mt. which is 3 hours north of gardiner and mammoth at the north entrance, pretty drive.

Dan Toelkes bows are hot,and second to none .A must see/shoot .Want to get one someday.

highplains55

if you want to try a toelke,it is 7 hours north
of west yellowstone, good excuse to take a drive through glacier park.

I wont repeat what others have already.  Lots of good bowyers around.  Dan Toelke would be a great visit if you head that way.  I will have one of his Whip bows in a few days and have some of my own bows I design and build to play with.  I live closer to Yellowstone if you want to shoot one of Dans bows or Stump shoot or what not.  I'm in Belgrade (next to Bozeman).
PM me if the mood strikes...we go camping every other week in the summer after Spring bear wraps up but other than that I'll be around.
Randy.

Dan Toelke is an hour north of Missoula. It is a great visit and he has 3d targets set up for you to shoot any of his bows and if you see his shop you'll understand how he can deliver a custom bow order in 3 to 5 weeks. You will not meet nicer people than Dan and his family as well.

Andy White

Been to Herbs and Dan's.  If you are willing to drive 6 hours or so, spend the time heading north.  Take a fly rod and a camera too.

Centaur is on the outskirt of Hamilton.
