I recently received the Firehawk "pass around" bow made by Rodney Wright that's currently making its way around to those TradGang members that signed up to try it out.
I'm really impressed and think y'all will be too.

When the bow first arrived, I was immediately smitten by how good the workmanship is on it.  Glue lines are perfect, finish is a superb low gloss clear with no imperfections anywhere that I could find, and the wood is beautiful.  I've never seen a bow with finish and craftsmanship that was any better than this one - some more fancy (or "gaudy", even), but none that were as flawless.  The leather-wrapped grip was perfect too.

Shooting it:
I was initially concerned that due to the set-back riser design that this rascal was gonna be like holding a weasel while it tried to flip itself around on me.....not to worry, however - the bow has perfect manners and is a pleasure to shoot.  The first thing I noticed was its almost total lack of handshock.  Rodney knows what he's doing as far a tuning bows, that's for sure.
I did not have a chronograph, so trying to estimate a speed is useless...I'll just say it was plenty fast and really smoked my 450 gr. carbon arrows.
I draw an honest 29.5" (which Bernie Dunn can attest) and the 62" Firehawk was smooth all the way back with absolutely no stacking.
Rodney's Firehawk bow is definitely on my short-list when I get some more spending money!

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

I have shot a few of Rodney's bows  doing reviews on them, and all have been examples of top quality workmanship and shooting qualities.

Just left here a couple weeks ago. I was really impressed by it.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

That's slick!  About as close as a lb can be before becomming a recurve.  I dig it.

That's nice!  Does he make recurves too?
The Stalker is a recurve....just a real short one.

I love this bow....feels like an old friend.
It is whisper quiet and hits really hard.
His finnish is better than anything I have shot!
