Don't know if I heard this here or somewhere else but I understand the MO DNR has approved the reintroduction of elk into the state.

The part I am most interested in is that one of the supposed primary initial stocking areas was said to be around Lake Wappapello.  Any one heard anything....

I do not want to start a pro/con elk reintroduction thread...  Just wondering

Already a small number near Branson that have moved up from Arkansas on their own.  The reintroduction area is near the Current River:  Peck Ranch CA.

More details in the   hunting legislation and politics forum.

Elk will be trapped from disease free, 10,000-12,000+ animal herd in Kentucky.
