Anyone using this glue from GoldTip?  Guess its for all types of fletch on all types of shafting....what do you think?

Cherokee Scout

I used Grip Tip on the inserts, never used it on the fletching.

I ordered some up and used it for the inserts. As soon as I smelled it curing I knew it had to be C.A., that is, cyanoacrylate, or, more commonly known as "Super Glue". So I checked with the techies at GT. They said, yep, it's Super Glue. I'd guess it's the medium wt. I haven't found it to work any better than any other insert glue.

As for your fletching, if you're using feathers, do yourself a favor and go with the fletching tape. Quick, easy, no muss, no fuss! Just clean your shafts with naphtha first. As when using glue for fletching, put a drop of glue on front and trailing edge of the fletches. Be forewarned that once the tape touches the shaft, it's stuck firm. There's no moving the fletch, so be sure it's where you want it before pushing the clamp held fletch to the shaft. (BTW: the naphtha cleaning tip comes courtesy of Rod Distefano.)

Oh, the fletching tape doesn't work with vanes.    :nono:

The tape works that good huh?  can you see the edges of it once it is between the feather and the shaft?  And does any exposed tape collect dirt and get grimme looking? Ive always wondered how it would work but never messed with it.  And what is naphtha anyway?

Same here.  Actually I bought mine from John.  By the way, I need some more.  Are you bringing anything to the OSTA shoot next year John.

I use fletching tape on my arrows, it works good and hold as well as glue even in the rain. I can do a dozen arrows in 35 minutes. I love to shoot arrows not make them so speed is best for me.
